This policy applies to the TripoKing website at tripoking.com and its trip enquiry, account and payment features. It explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information you provide
- Trip enquiries: your name, WhatsApp number, optional email, destination or package, preferred travel date, traveller counts, optional budget and message.
- Accounts and profiles: your verified Google email address and traveller details such as your full name, profile picture, and optional phone number. Authentication is handled exclusively through Google OAuth; TripoKing never collects, receives, or stores passwords.
- Payments: the quote amount and trip reference you enter are sent to Razorpay to create a payment order. If a payment is attempted, the payment and order identifiers are returned to our server so it can verify the payment signature. TripoKing does not receive or store your card number, UPI PIN or banking password.
Google sign-in information
If you choose “Continue with Google,” Supabase Auth uses Google sign-in to authenticate you. TripoKing receives your Google account email address, name and the account identifier needed to create and recognize your TripoKing profile. We use this information only to create and manage your account, sign you in, and show your profile details. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it for purposes unrelated to the TripoKing service. Supabase Auth stores the account information for authentication and profile management. We do not send Google account information to Razorpay or WhatsApp.
TripMates Community Data Protection (DPDP Act 2023)
[TODO: LEGAL REVIEW, DPDP Act 2023] Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), TripoKing acts as a Data Fiduciary regarding the personal information you provide for our social group discovery features:
- Explicit Consent & Granular Visibility: When you join or express interest in a trip, you explicitly choose whether your profile is visible to other community members. You can withdraw your consent or hide your profile at any time via your account dashboard.
- Tiered Access & Privacy Wall: Free public viewers only see high-level aggregate trends (age range, gender distribution, home cities, and interest tags) without individual names or photos. Individual first names, photos, and personal bios are restricted behind a â‚ą49 intent-verification paywall.
- Zero Contact Exposure: TripoKing strictly prohibits the public or paid disclosure of personal email addresses, phone numbers, or private social handles. The TripMates API is architected to never return contact numbers or email identifiers in any client payload.
- Right to Withdraw & Erasure: You retain the right to hide your profile from all future searches ("Hide my profile") or permanently delete your TripMates community profile ("Delete my profile") directly from your Account Dashboard.
How we use information
We use information to respond to trip enquiries, discuss dates and availability, prepare or follow up on travel plans, operate your account and profile, verify payment responses, protect the website and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. We do not use personal or Google account information for targeted advertising.
Storage and service providers
Trip enquiries are sent to our Supabase database. Supabase Auth handles account registration, sign-in and profile updates. Google provides sign-in when you choose that option. Razorpay processes checkout and payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. These providers process information to deliver their services to us. If you choose to continue an enquiry through WhatsApp or email, the information you send is handled by the relevant provider under its own privacy policy. The TripoKing website does not send an enquiry through those services unless you choose to follow the link.
Browser storage and cookies
The account feature stores your Supabase sign-in session and profile information in your browser’s local storage so you can remain signed in. You can sign out from your profile to clear the saved session, or clear this site’s local storage through your browser settings. We also use the Meta Pixel to measure visits and conversions to improve our travel services and advertising. You can manage or disable advertising cookies through your browser settings or Meta ad preferences.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal information. We share it with the service providers described above when needed to operate the website and respond to your request. We keep enquiry, account and transaction-related information only for as long as needed to provide the requested service, maintain business records, resolve issues, and meet legal obligations.
Your choices and requests
You can choose whether to submit an enquiry, create an account, use Google sign-in or proceed to Razorpay checkout. You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information, subject to records we must retain. We will review deletion requests and remove or de-identify information that we no longer need, except where retention is required for legal, accounting, security or dispute-resolution purposes. To make a privacy request or ask a question, use the contact details on our Contact page. If no contact method is available there, submit a general enquiry and write “Privacy request” in the message.
Security and third-party sites
We use server-side validation and keep payment secrets on the server. No method of online storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. This site also links to services operated by other companies; their own policies apply when you use them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website or its services change. The latest version and its update date will appear on this page.
